UPDD commander is now part of ActiveInspire. You need it. When you upgraded your Mac's Operating System from Mojave, you received enhanced security that requires you to agree that you want anything that is installed. If you use an older version of ActiveInspire, it either won't run on your updated machine or it will error at times. You need the new Inspire which has a bright orange icon.
Go to System Preferences and then click on Security & Privacy. If you can't find it, use the search bar at the top and type in Privacy. Then click on the indicated Security & Privacy option.
Depending on the version of MacOS you upgraded to, you may have a series of tabs, the left-most tab being a General tab; if so, click on it. If the Security & Privacy icon is a hand on a blue background, you won't have a General tab.
Look for a section near the bottom called "Allow applications download from"; earlier operating sytems used "Allow apps download from".
You should see an Allow button that needs to be clicked. If it is grayed out, look for a golden padlock. Clicking the padlock will prompt you to sign in with the teacher account and the teacher password. Just above the padlock will be an Allow button; click on it.
If you have tabs, click on the Privacy tab.
The next section you need is Accessibilty.
Find the two UPDD items under accessibility and place check marks by them.
If it is grayed out, look for a golden padlock. Clicking the padlock will prompt you to sign in with the teacher account and the teacher password. Then place the checkmarks.
You can now close out of System Preferences.
